This film was made during a workshop lasting several days on La Graciosa, a small island north of Lanzarote. Over several days I repeatedly had the chance to accompany and capture couples in this unique setting.
The landscape of La Graciosa is barren, rough and almost moon-like – a minimalist backdrop of volcanic ground, dust and vastness. It’s precisely this contrast that makes it so appealing: two people, close and intimate, embedded in a seemingly endless, silent landscape. The result is a pared-back, atmospheric film that puts closeness, calm and connection at its heart.
